Human imagination, technology, and the future of Humanity – with David Lorimer.

What kind of future are we creating — and who, or what, is shaping it?

As artificial intelligence, surveillance systems, and predictive technologies become more powerful, an urgent question emerges: are we expanding human potential, or slowly surrendering the freedom to imagine our own future?

In this episode of Connecting with Coincidence, Bernard Beitman, MD speaks with writer, lecturer, and editor David Lorimer about one of the defining tensions of our time: the contest between human consciousness and machine-driven control. Together, they explore competing visions of Humanity’s future, from transhumanist dreams of merging with technology to the possibility of evolving toward deeper interconnectedness, wisdom, and cosmic consciousness.

Their conversation moves through philosophy, spirituality, psychology, and current technological trends. They examine brain-computer interfaces, propaganda, and surveillance culture, while also considering the transformative potential of resonance, collective imagination, wisdom councils, and shared intention. At the heart of the discussion is a profound question: if the future begins in thought, what kinds of stories are we choosing to live by?

This episode invites listeners to reflect on the power of imagination, the responsibility of consciousness, and the possibility that a more compassionate future begins with how we think, connect, and create together.
