A 60-Year Story of Synchronicity, with Robert Warner.

What starts as a coincidence between two teens—matching red-and-white striped hats—unfolds into a six-decade story of friendship, mirrored choices, and uncanny synchronicities.

In this episode, Dr. Bernard Beitman reconnects with his best friend from high school, Robert Warner, to explore the deep parallels in their lives. From co-presidency of student council to political resistance, from unexpected turns to life-changing moments of connection, the two have remained bound by an invisible thread of meaning that defies logic.

Robert Warner is a retired reverend, educator, and former political activist whose remarkable life includes burning down an ROTC building in protest during the Vietnam War, living underground in Canada while raising a family, and later running a chimney sweep business for nearly four decades. A graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary, Bob’s path—like Bernie’s—has been marked by rebellion, reinvention, and synchronicity.

It all began with a hat.
